Fifth Round of Laghman Media League Concludes with Independent Journalists’ Victory

Laghman, Afghanistan – 19 September, 2025 – The fifth round of the Laghman Media League ended with the victory of the Independent Journalists’ team.

In these competitions, teams were formed from journalists representing Sulh Arman Radio, Milli Radio, Hussain Radio, Raghoon Radio, Ziar Radio, Kawoon Radio, Salam Watandar Radio, Bakhtar News Agency, as well as Ebrahimi Online and Hero Online Media. Three teams—Independent Journalists, Laghman Media, and Hero TV—took part in the tournament.

The two-day competition featured each team playing two matches. In the end, Independent Journalists and Laghman Media advanced to the final. The championship match was won by the Independent Journalists team, who were crowned champions of the fifth round.

At the closing ceremony, Wasifullah Usmani, the organizer of the tournament and head of sports journalists in Laghman, said that the purpose of such sporting programs is to promote coordination, unity, and cooperation among journalists, while also providing better coverage and reflection of sports activities.
