Kabul, Afghanistan, July 22, 2025 – As part of its ongoing efforts to revitalize its structure and strengthen institutional partnerships, the Afghanistan Sports Journalists Federation (ASJF) held a productive meeting today with Mr. Hafiz Ahmadjan Zadran, Technical Deputy of the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, as well as the Afghanistan Football Federation.
During the meeting, ASJF representatives formally requested support in facilitating the upcoming elections for the leadership of the sports journalists federation. Mr. Zadran welcomed the initiative and expressed full cooperation in ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral process.
The discussions also included the official launch of Afghanistan’s national flag football team. Mr. Zadran assured the ASJF of his department’s full support in this initiative, marking a positive step for the growth and development of alternative and emerging sports in the country.
“We are deeply grateful to Mr. Zadran for his support and encouragement. His commitment to working with us in both areas is a strong boost for our efforts,” an ASJF representative stated following the meeting.
